About Me
Upstream
A fishing festival reimagined as a cultural convening rather than a traditional event. Upstream brings together activists, students, fishermen, and storytellers to explore the intersection of ecology, politics, and creative practice.
Through classes, presentations, and collective dialogue, the convention platforms expert voices while honoring ancestral knowledge systems that view environmental protection as inseparable from cultural survival.
Upstream is both a celebration and a call to action! Tracking the movement of salmon as a symbol of resistance, continuity, and collective responsibility in the face of extractive threats.

Fu Zao - Faye Wong
Faye Wong’s 1996 fourth Mandarin studio album was a landmark in the evolution of experimental Chinese pop. In reimagining its CD repackage, my goal was to create a visual system that reflects the album’s quirkiness while preserving the distinct aesthetic language of 90s China.
Notably, the album includes two original collaborations with the Scottish dream pop pioneers Cocteau Twins, a rare and bold cross-cultural partnership that changed how Western and Eastern audiences viewed pop music.
A key challenge in the repackage was developing a bilingual visual system that allows both Chinese and English typography to coexist harmoniously, maintaining clarity, hierarchy, and cultural sensitivity across languages.
Subculture: EmoTumblr
Trend cycles come and go, and as the mid-2010s regain cultural relevance, I chose to honor the cringe and uncertainty of my pre-teen years.
EmoTumblr is an archive of nostalgia for a subculture that was ridiculed and brushed aside. Its contents answer the question of ‘Who? What? When? Where? and Why?’ while preserving the ups and downs during this period. This piece was made with an intentionally “immature” design to celebrate the limitations of art programs. This work openly embraces awkward experimentation, forcing the viewer to challenge the idea of “good” design.
On the contrary, this work was created with visual consistency and systems in mind, emphasizing structure alongside its nostalgic and self-reflective content.

no other way around it
A self-portrait in 3 parts about my childhood fears, revisiting them, and discovering what scared me as a child. Through revisiting natural wonders, social phenomena, and the art that surrounds us, we see how our own experiences are beyond profound and incredibly insignificant.
